This was another scheme for sector specialist Retirement Villages Group and their funder, AXA IM. James Ahearne managed to gain local support for this major application along with a planning consent in only 12 months after acquiring the site from a South African investor.

This followed 21 years of stagnation on site with five previous owners who had failed to deliver for the local community.
