About ADMG
ADMG is the development management arm of Astrantia Group, acting as a client-side team for investors, landowners and funds on major residential and mixed-use schemes.
The practice is led directly by its two partners, who take personal responsibility for the schemes on which they are appointed. Clients work with the partners themselves rather than being passed to a separate delivery team.
Together they cover the full life of a scheme, from feasibility, planning strategy and commercial management through to construction, programme and quality management on site. It is an approach grounded in first-hand delivery experience rather than advice alone.

The two partners first worked together on a 485-home build-to-rent regeneration in central Birmingham, James leading on the development side and Stuart on construction delivery. ADMG draws on that combined experience across the schemes it takes on, pairing a rigorous development case with the ability to deliver it.
James Ahearne MRICS
Partner
James is a chartered planning and development surveyor with more than twenty years in property and development. He built Lidl's South West region and ran its North London property office before moving into residential development, leading schemes of thirty to five hundred homes.
His recent work includes a 485-home build-to-rent regeneration in Birmingham, the first whole-life net zero retirement scheme in the UK at West Byfleet, and a town-centre transformation in Tunbridge Wells.
At ADMG he leads the client-side development management, from feasibility, land assembly and planning strategy through to delivery, maintaining commercial and programme discipline from first appraisal to completion.
Stuart Partlow MCIOB
Partner
Stuart brings more than thirty years in construction, built from the ground up: from the tools as an apprentice and dry liner, through site and project management, to director level on some of the most complex schemes in the Midlands.
He is currently Employer's Agent on the £72m, 485-home build-to-rent scheme in central Birmingham, covering change control, programme and delay management, design and quality management, fire safety oversight and handover.
His track record runs across sectors: a £33m private hospital for Circle Health, set to be among the largest in the UK; affordable and social housing with Willmott Dixon; education and research facilities including what was then the country's largest teaching clean room at Nottingham Trent University; and heritage and defence work at RAF Scampton and RAF Cottesmore. He began his project career on the £350m Derby City General Hospital PFI scheme for Skanska.
A Member of the Chartered Institute of Building, Stuart's strength is in the detail: programme, quality and the commercial discipline that carries a scheme from inception through to handover.
